Bhavay Batra
Pre-final year BTech student and software developer with hands-on experience in building web applications and working across startup and consulting environments. Currently serving as Technical Head and Senior Associate Consultant at 180 Degrees Consulting, where I work at the intersection of technology and problem-solving. Strong foundation in data structures, a practical approach to development, and a keen interest in building scalable, real-world software solutions.

Software Developer Intern
- Built a full-stack web application using React with a Node.js and Express backend, following a clean client–server architecture.
- Designed RESTful APIs for end-to-end CRUD operations and modeled data using MongoDB for efficient storage and querying
- Integrated frontend and backend with async data handling, and tested and debugged APIs using Postman to ensure reliability.
Software Developer Intern
- Developed a full-stack web application with dynamic, responsive React interfaces for web and mobile.
- Built user and admin dashboards, implemented Node.js and Express REST APIs, and handled authentication and state management.

Muzi - Interactive Music Collaboration Platform
Built a music streaming SaaS platform that enables democratic, real-time song selection for groups and live audiences. Users can add YouTube tracks to a shared queue, upvote songs to influence playback order, and view the currently playing track with automatic de-duplication to prevent repeats. Implemented secure Google authentication, REST APIs for stream and vote management, and a relational database schema to track users, queues, and upvotes. Integrated YouTube APIs for metadata retrieval and used long polling to keep the queue and playback state in sync across users. Deployed the application on Vercel with a managed PostgreSQL database.
Deal Drop - Price Tracker & Notification System
Built a full-stack Next.js app with server-side rendering, web scraping, and interactive graphs. Implemented REST APIs for CRUD operations, designed a PostgreSQL database for products and historical price tracking with user-level access control, and added background jobs to monitor price changes and trigger automated notifications.
true-feedback - Anonymous Feedback Platform
Built TrueFeedback, a full-stack anonymous messaging platform using Next.js with server-side rendering, Node.js, and MongoDB. Implemented credential-based authentication with OTP verification, secure session management, and REST APIs for user and message workflows. Designed a scalable messaging system using MongoDB aggregation pipelines for efficient querying and cleanup. Integrated AI-powered message suggestions with streaming responses and developed reusable, validated UI components with debounced inputs.
180DC - BIT Mesra
Designed and developed a college project for 180 Degrees Consulting BIT Mesra, building the organization's official website from scratch. Created a responsive React-based frontend with a clean layout and smooth navigation. Translated team requirements into a functional, production-ready site suitable for public use. Focused on performance, accessibility, and overall user experience throughout development.
RNY Clothing E-commerce Platform
Built RNY Clothing during my internship, a full-stack e-commerce web application using Next.js, React, Node.js, and MongoDB. Implemented responsive product listings, user authentication, and cart and order management with RESTful APIs. Designed and managed scalable database schemas for products, users, and orders. Developed separate user and admin dashboards to handle product management, orders, and users, with secure backend logic and state-driven frontend updates.
